Background/Expertise

Boyang is a commercial litigator who has particular experience in building defect, insolvency and construction disputes. Boyang has appeared before the High Court as both sole and junior counsel. Before joining Ford Sumner in July 2025, Boyang worked as a litigator for a boutique firm in Auckland, gaining extensive experience in unit title disputes. Boyang has also acted as a volunteer solicitor at the Auckland Community Law Centre.

Outside of the office, Boyang is an avid football player and Formula 1 fan, who consistently keeps up with European football competitions and the latest F1 race results.
