Lawyer/Senior Lawyer

3+ PQE Civil Litigation/Dispute Resolution

We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Lawyer, Senior Lawyer or Associate to join our growing Dispute Resolution team in central Wellington. You will have excellent client relationship skills and be motivated to advance your career by working with a great team.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  1. proven experience practising in civil litigation/dispute resolution and employment law;
  2. experience in Court, ERA and mediation processes;
  3. a current NZLS practicing certificate and at least three years post qual experience;
  4. a positive outlook with great communication skills and the ability to develop a rapport with the team and your clients;
  5. conscientiousness and a good work ethic coupled with a “can do” attitude;
  6. a flexible and adaptable approach to matters and the varied demands of a thriving office with a diverse client base;
  7. the initiative to work independently and drive matters forward;
  8. excellent attention to detail and a focus on delivering a high-quality and timely service to clients;
  9. a professional approach to service delivery and not only managing, but exceeding client expectations.

Legal Executive

ixed term)

Ford Sumner is a vibrant, forward thinking law firm with a strong commercial and government national client base which includes market leaders in aviation, hospitality, transport, construction and the trades.  Specialising in corporate, commercial, dispute resolution and employment, along with our conveyancing and private client practice, we deliver market leading legal solutions.

We are looking for a skilled, organised and highly motivated Legal Executive to join our growing team in central Wellington. Aspects of the role you would ideally bring experience to include:

  • conveyancing (end to end);
  • commercial property conveyancing;
  • trust establishment and administration;
  • preparing wills;
  • managing estates; and
  • assisting on large commercial transactions from time to time.

You will have great client relationship and time management skills and enjoy the responsibility of working independently on matters, knowing the role has the support of a wider, collaborative team.
