With more than 28 years’ experience in employment law and dispute resolution, and two decades as a business owner, Jaesen offers a unique combination of legal and practical expertise to every workplace investigation he conducts.
Jaesen is a graduate of the International Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Certificate Programme in the United States - the leading internationally recognised qualification for conducting impartial workplace investigations.
Workplace investigations can be complex and often sensitive. Jaesen ensures that every investigation he undertakes is conducted fairly, thoroughly, promptly, and in line with the principles of natural justice, while also being handled pragmatically and supported by clear, robust, written findings. Jaesen manages the investigation process including interviewing of all witnesses, documenting information obtained, concluding outcomes, and providing written reports, including where requested, assessing findings against any workplace policies. Jaesen is flexible in his investigation process to accommodate specific protocols to support mutually accepted processes for the best collection of relevant information.
Jaesen has a strong understanding of Tikanga Māori, having represented various Iwi through his legal practice.
